No commercial electricity connection without approved building map in Agra

New Delhi, July 29, 2020: To put a tab on unauthorized construction, the Agra Development Authority (ADA) board has decided not to allow commercial electricity connection to properties not having a building map approved by it.

The ADA administration is going to send a letter to the power distribution companies over it. According to an official estimate, there are 22,000 illegal constructions in the city according to the reports published in energyinfrapost.com.

ADA secretary RP Tripathi said, “Following complaints of illegal constructions taking place in the city, the ADA has decided not to allow commercial electricity construction in absence of the approved building map. This will ensure that properties illegally developed are not used for a commercial purpose”.

According to sources, the maximum illegal constructions in Agra city are in Tajganj, Hariparwat, Lohamandi and Shahganj areas.
